Interdisciplinary learning is a trend that can enrich the knowledge from different subjects for successful innovations. The programme Future Innovator in STEM focuses on cross-discipline learning, that combines Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. The programme begins with a foundation course on the concept of the design process, Artificial Intelligence, and Big data analysis which can develop the basic skillsets for the cycle of “from ideas to products”. Besides, students could consolidate their knowledge learned from different subjects to develop problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. The programme was designed with a hands-on practical workshop to apply the knowledge from theory to practice. Students can experience the self-developed items by participating in three streams; Stream A (SISS2409A) for Data & AI Literacy for Modern Society with a mini project creation related to Technology OR for Stream B (SISS2409B) Engineer: Innovations in developing the racing car OR for Stream C (SISS2409C) AI and the Virtual Worlds.

Important notes: Students are required to bring their laptops with internet access capability. For the laptop with graphic capability will be ideal. The light document laptop that lacking in graphic capabilities may affect to perform exercises in the course, but with the internet access is essential.
