This course introduces the emerging field of computational social science (CSS), which combines social science with computational methods to study human behaviour and social phenomena. Students will learn how to collect, process, and analyse large-scale digital and behavioural data using computational tools such as text analysis, network analysis, social media analytics, and LLMs. Emphasis will be placed on real-world applications in social scientific domains.
