Nowadays digital transformation and artificial intelligence have brought tremendous changes to different industries. Although they have dramatically facilitated product development, customer management, marketing and promotion, etc. in much more cost-effective ways, many organizations must rethink and refine their business strategies to maintain their overall competitiveness under the era of innovations and technologies.

This two-week programme immerses high school students in the end-to-end journey of building a socially impactful, tech-enabled startup. In collaboration with the HKU School of Innovation, participants learn design thinking and business fundamentals alongside accessible technology primers and AI tools. Each day blends academic sessions with mentored workshops where teams apply concepts immediately to real problems facing their communities. Students practice user research, rapid prototyping, lean business modelling, ethical and responsible tech, go-to-market planning, and fundraising (grants, crowdfunding, angels).
