
Module 1: Business Media and the World of Business (Jul 7 - 11)
This immersive learning programme is designed to introduce students to the dynamic intersection of media and business. Through interactive sessions, field trips to leading business media outlets, and discussions with journalists and communications professionals, students will gain firsthand insights into the role of media in shaping business narratives and strategy. Students will also have the opportunity to hear from executives of listed companies and learn about media-centric corporate strategy and events.
Module 2: Creating Voice I: Arts, Culture, and Identity through Media (Jul 14 - 18)
How does media embody voice and identity through the visual and performing arts? Take an immersive journey into the world of media making through Hong Kong’s thriving cultural arts scene. Get inspired from artists, curators, artistic directors, and archivists to find your own voice. Visit backstage, museums, engage with performing artists and other creatives and learn how to create your stories and understand how the power of production and archive impacts cultural identity. Students have the opportunity to develop, produce, and present a creative multimedia project.
Module 3: Creating Voice II: Power of Storytelling through Film and Media (Jul 21 - 25)
How does media embody voice and identity through films and documentaries? Take an immersive journey into the world of media making through Hong Kong’s rich film and entertainment legacy. Get inspired from filmmakers, writers, producers to create your own stories. Visit a production studio, engage with seasoned creatives in the film industry, and understand the process of production and politics of framing that come with crafting compelling stories. Students have the opportunity to develop, produce, and present a creative multimedia project.
